About PayTrace

PayTrace is a US B2B payment gateway known for card processing and Level 3 data optimisation.

What PayTrace supports

US card payments via PayTrace with an encrypted (protect.js) hosted checkout.

  • Payment methods: Cards, ACH, Level 3
  • Where it works: United States and Canada
  • Billing: one-off payments
  • Price: free for every PremiumPress member

Setting up PayTrace in PremiumPress

Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your PayTrace credentials:

  • API username — Your PayTrace API user (grant_type=password). Not your website login.
  • API password
  • Integrator ID — PayTrace → Integrations → your integrator ID (used by protect.js and the sale).

The card is encrypted on a hosted protect.js page, then charged server-side. Recurring (PayTrace recurring API) is not enabled in this flow — use a one-time plan with PayTrace. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

PayTrace plugin FAQ

What do I need to set up PayTrace in WordPress?

You'll need a PayTrace account and its API username, API password and Integrator ID, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.

Does PayTrace support recurring subscriptions?

PayTrace handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.

How does the PayTrace checkout work?

A hosted checkout page encrypts the card with PayTrace protect.js, then the server runs an OAuth-authenticated keyed sale.
