Setting up PayHero in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your PayHero credentials:
- API username — PayHero Dashboard → API. Used with the API password for Basic authentication.
- API password
- Channel ID — The PayHero payment channel that receives the funds.
PayHero collects payment through an M-Pesa STK push to the customer’s phone — there is no browser redirect. Completing the flow requires capturing the buyer’s phone number at checkout (see the plugin TODOs). The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up PayHero in WordPress?
You'll need a PayHero account and its API username, API password and Channel ID, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does PayHero support recurring subscriptions?
PayHero handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
