Setting up PayTech in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your PayTech credentials:
- API key — PayTech Dashboard → API. Sent as the API_KEY request header.
- API secret — Sent as the API_SECRET request header and used to verify IPN callbacks.
- IPN URL — PayTech POSTs payment notifications here. It is sent automatically with each payment request.
Amounts are whole XOF units (no decimals). PayTech confirms via its IPN callback, verified with SHA-256 hashes of your API key and secret. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up PayTech in WordPress?
You'll need a PayTech account and its API key, API secret and IPN URL, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does PayTech support recurring subscriptions?
PayTech handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the PayTech checkout work?
Real one-time payments via the PayTech API (request a payment, redirect to the hosted page), with an IPN listener whose SHA-256 key hashes are verified before the order is completed. No SDK — direct REST via wp_remote_request.
