Setting up Adyen in PremiumPress
Activate the free plugin, then open your theme’s payment settings and add your Adyen credentials:
- API key — Adyen Customer Area → Developers → API credentials → your web-service user → API key.
- Merchant account — The exact merchant account code (case-sensitive).
- Live URL prefix — Live only — Customer Area → Developers → API URLs → prefix. Leave blank in Test.
- HMAC key — Recommended — the HMAC key from your standard webhook. Add a webhook in Customer Area
One-time payments confirm on return and via the notification webhook. Recurring plans are not billed automatically through Pay by Link — use a one-time plan with Adyen. The plugin requires PremiumPress 12.

What do I need to set up Adyen in WordPress?
You'll need a Adyen account and its API key, Merchant account, Live URL prefix and HMAC key, which you enter in your PremiumPress theme's payment settings. The plugin itself is free for members.
Does Adyen support recurring subscriptions?
Adyen handles one-off payments in PremiumPress. If you need recurring billing, choose a gateway shown under the Subscriptions filter on the plugins page.
How does the Adyen checkout work?
Real one-time payments via Adyen Pay by Link (hosted redirect), with API verification and an HMAC-signed notification webhook.
